Well, you figured it was bound to happen. Roger Goodell is apparently going to discipline Pacman Jones on Monday or Tuesday according to multiple sources.

I hope "discipline" is code for "kick his ass out of the league" but we'll see what happens. Apparently it's not known whether Pacman will be fined or actually suspended. But either way, it would appear that he's not actually going to get kicked out of the NFL...yet.

Ed Werder of ESPN also reported this morning on ESPN that the hotel bathroom beat down involving Pacman and his bodyguard was apparently more violent than has been previously reported. Guess who the source was, by the way. It was Pacman, who apparently has been telling his teammates about it all week long. What a dumbass.

As you're probably well aware of, Jerry Jones tried to defend Pacman late this week by saying that had there not been bodyguards with Pacman, this whole incident never would have happened. Although had Pacman not had bodyguards with him, it's probably safe to say he would have left a trail of dead bodies in his wake.

But as for Goodell's decision, we'll have to wait and see what happens. As far as I'm concerned, if Goodell doesn't kick Pacman out of the league, Goodell's just as much of a joke as Pacman is. Goodell already stated that if Pacman screwed up in any way shape or form after his year long suspension, he'd be done. Let's see if Goodell sticks to that, although I doubt it.

Let's take a look at week 6's early games which featured a lot of insane endings.

Rams Upset Redskins 19-17: So much for the Redskins.  Three fumbles lead to their demise in this game, one recovered for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter.  On that play, LG Pete Kendall caught a deflected pass and fumbled it away.  The Redskins had 368 yards to the Rams 200.  Josh Brown was money on field goals, and Richie Incognito tried to lose it for the Rams by getting a boneheaded penalty yelling at the ref.  That led to the game winning field goal being a 49 yarder, but Brown came through.  Washington is now 4-2, and the Rams get their first win and are 1-4.

Texans Win on TD Run 29-28 With 3 Seconds Left: This one was back and forth all day.  The Texans 485 yards to the Dolphins 370.  Surprisingly, only 96 yards rushing for Miami.  The Dolphins took 28-23 with less than two minutes in the game on a Ronnie Brown run.  But the Texans would not surrender, as Matt Schaub marched them down the field.  With 3 seconds on the clock, 4th down, 3 yards away from the endzone, the Dolphins left the middle of the field open, and Schaub ran it himself for the game winning touchdown.  Houston gets their first win and are now 1-4, while Miami is 2-3.

Falcons Snatch Victory From Jaws Of Defeat 22-20
:  Statistically a fairly even game.  Michael Turner was shutdown, but Matt Ryan stepped up big time,  22-30, 301 yards and a touchdown.  Up 6, late in the game, Jason Elam shanked an easy field goal for the Falcons.  The Bears proceeded to move down the field and score on a touchdown pass to Rashied Davis with only 11 seconds in the game.  After a squib kick, Ryan found Jenkins for a 26 yard pass to set up a 48 yard field goal.  And as time expired, Jason Elam redeemed himself, his 5th field goal of the game.   The Falcons are 4-2 (Seriously) and the Bears are now 3-3.

Vikings beat Lions in 12-10 snoozer:  When you almost lose to the Lions, you're in trouble.  The Vikings had 392 yards to the Lions 212.  Kevin Williams had 4 sacks for the Vikings, but Peterson fumbled twice, and it still took a questionable pass interference call late to set the Vikings into field goal range with 12 seconds left.  Longwell came through on the 26 yarder, giving the win to the Vikings.  Minnesota is 3-3, and the Lions are 0-5.

Colts flatten Ravens: For the first time all year, the Colts looked like the Colts of old.  Despite running back injuries, the passing game was successful.  Reggie Wayne had 118 and a touchdown, while Harrison had 83 for two touchdowns.  Plus, the run defense was strong, holding the Ravens to 51 yards.  Robert Mathis had 3 sacks and a recovered fumble.  Colts are now 3-2 and the Ravens fall to 2-3.

Saints destroy Raiders 34-3: Nothing to see here.  Drew Brees owned the Raider D, he was 26-30, 320 yards and 3 touchdowns.  The defense was solid shutting down the Raider pass game, but that doesn't take much talent.   As we already knew, Lane Kiffin wasn't the problem of the Raiders.  Saints move to 3-3 while the Raiders are 1-4.

Jets defeat Bengals 26-14:  Not an impressive game for Brett Favre, he threw for under 200 yards and threw two picks.   However, the Bengals never cease to fail.  The Bengals had 43 rushing yards, and only 20 of those were by running backs.  The Jets are now 3-2, and the Bengals officially have the worst record in football at 0-6.  It's only a matter of time until Marvin Lewis gets the boot.

Buccaneers beat Panthers 27-3:  All Buccaneers all the time.  The Panthers only ran for 40 yards and Jake Delhomme threw 3 interceptions.  Warrick Dunn had over 100 yards and Jeff Garcia was efficient.

The strange thing is, now the Buccaneers, Panthers, AND Falcons are all tied at 4-2.  Plus, the Saints are 3-3.  That's just insane.

Tons of crazy finishes, and much more. Once again, proof that the NFL is by far the best thing out there in the sports world.

Afternoon games are underway.  Enjoy.

I was afraid that with Dan Orlovsky now starting at QB for the Lions, there was a possibility that they might start actually becoming a semi-competent team. But as this image makes clear, no reason to worry about that turnaround just yet.

As you can see, Orlovsky seemed to forget where he was on the field, and apparently decided to head for the locker room a little too early.

Naturally the Lions lost 12-10, meaning the safety was the difference in the game. Fail? No. EPIC FAIL is the only way to describe that.

Someone should tell Dan Orlovsky what the big white stripe means [

Last weekend at Talladega, Carl Edwards wound up on a lot of peoples hit lists because of the 12-car pileup that he caused. One of the guys he knocked out was fellow Chaser Kevin Harvick. Harvick classically went on to call Edwards "a pansy" later in the week during a TV interview.

Now, reportedly on Thursday during the rained out qualifying for the Bank of America 500, Harvick and Edwards got into a little of a scrape.

The conversation appeared to start amicably, but soon heated words were exchanged, the witnesses said. At one point, Harvick appeared to turn away from Edwards, who then reached for Harvick's shoulder, as if to turn him back around. Harvick responded by shoving Edwards, who landed on the No. 33 Chevrolet, denting the right-front section of the hood.

People who saw the altercation, including the driver of Harvick's motorcoach, Jeff Smith, jumped in to separate Edwards and Harvick, the witnesses said. At one point, Smith had Edwards in a headlock, they said, but the drivers apparently exchanged no punches
.

Now, pictures were taken during the mini-brawl, but were't made public...until now.

Let's take a look.

Here's Harvick telling Edwards what he thinks of his mother.

Which Edwards doesn't really agree with.

Harvick seems to disagree with his oxygen supply being cut off.

Down goes Edwards!

Unfortunately no photo of the headlock exists yet, but whenever it's available, we'll have it. By the way, I think NASCAR could use more of this. UFC needs some competition now that EliteXC is headed into the crapper.

All right everyone, it's going to be a potentially rough day out there for some of you. Here's what's going on.

Brian  Westbrook will not be playing today, seeing as he has a few broken ribs. Also joining him on the "will not play" list are Jon Kitna, Deion Branch, and Anquan Boldin. Matt Hasselbeck is likely out as well with back spasms.

Brandon Lloyd is also out for the Bears and Devin Hester will get his second straight start at receiver.

Wide receiver Chris Chambers is also doubtful for the Chargers/Pats game with a twisted ankle. Do not expect him to play.

Carson Palmer will also likely not play for the Bengals today either. Ryan Fitzgerald will get the start and Palmer is designated as the team's third quarterback. I wouldn't suggest picking up Fitzgerald if you're looking for a waiver wire QB, even though he did go to Harvard.

Questionables include Laurence Maroney, Roddy White, Kellen Winslow, and Eddie Royal.

Just so you know, Winslow is still in the hospital right now, so don't count on him. Eddie Royal, meanwhile, reportedly has a bone bruise and will be limited, so probably good to look for other options.

Willis McGahee is expected to play, despite all his injuries, but will likely not get the tough goalline carries that'll get you big time points.

Good luck today everyone.
